It’s official

The Davis soap opera is officially in its final chapter.

How long before the race card is thrown out there? After all, that has to be the reason Hoosier fans didn’t support him. I’ve actually heard people make this argument. Talk like that is just plain ignorance. I think you know where I stand on why he lost his support. The Black Coaches Association seems to agree that there wasn’t a race issue involved. If they thought there was, they’d be crying “foul.”

It was tough watching the press conference. I think Davis is a good guy. I tried to voice my support for him as much as I could (not that my opinion really mattered in the grand scheme of things). It’s bittersweet. Yes, this is a great opportunity for the program and for the Davis family. Even though he wasn’t the best coach in the world, it was still kinda tough to hear him say he was leaving.

Maybe that’s just me, though.
