I “met” Katy Mann way back in the good ol’ days when Twitter* was a young undiscovered country where you would actually get to know people and build a genuine online community. Ah, yes. Those were the days when social media was actually fun. Before the dark times. Before marketers came in and ruined it all.+ And way before the days of the current mess that Twitter has become.

Kids today don’t know what they’re missing. But I digress.

Sorry about that. Where was I? Oh, that’s right. Katy Mann!

Katy and I met in the digital realm sometime in 2011 or 2012. I quickly became a fan. In fact, her little website, Indy with Kids, won the highly-coveted and ever-popular (now-defunct) The Fishbowl Awards Presented by (insert sponsor here) – aka the Mattys – for Best Blog in 2013. She has been a tremendous resource for parents and local digital creators. She’s always encouraging and I look forward to the times we get to chat during area influencer events. I cannot speak highly enough about Katy.

Katy Mann on THE MattDanToddcast Podcast

When she shared that she was writing a book, I knew I had to get her on THE MattDanToddcast Podcast to share all about this exciting new adventure. I’m honored that she agreed. You can listen to the episode below. You can also find it on Amazon Music, iHeart Radio, and Spotify.

Thanks again, Katy, for taking the time out of your busy schedule to talk with me. Now, everyone, GO BUY HER BOOK!

* Much like longtime Indy residents continue to refer to Ruoff Music Center as Deer Creek, I’m pretty sure I’ll forever refer to “x” as Twitter. Sorry. That’s just the way it is.

+ It’s me. Hi. I confess I was part of that problem. Probably still am.
