Call Me Mr. Fix-it…I guess

One of the things I got to do this Summer while working maintenance was follow a plumber around for three days and help him fix toilets and sinks and such in the school building.

Just watching him has come in handy.

Since then, I have replaced a leaky flapper in our toilet and fixed our kitchen sink. I actually had to fix the sink this morning. It was rigged together in a very odd way and had somehow managed to come apart yesterday evening. All of the water that went through the drain wound up in the storage area underneath our sink. Not a good thing.

I shouldn’t say it’s completely fixed, since I just got done working on it. It’s fixed as far as I can tell right now. We’ll see in a few hours.
