Last Night’s Storm
A storm ripped through our area last night. It was a different front than the one that caused so much damage in other parts of the country. That being said, it was the loudest thunderstorm I’ve heard at night in a long time. There were several thunderclaps that shook the house for several seconds.
Another one sounded like lightning had struck right behind our house. It woke me up at midnight, and I actually got up to make sure the house wasn’t on fire. I even looked outside to make sure everything was OK. I wasn’t the only one. I saw other neighbors’ lights turn on and then off – I think we were all checking on the same thing.
Although the kids slept through the entire thing (they were exhausted from yesterday’s festivities), I didn’t get much sleep because of the storm. Hopefully, tonight will be much more restful. I hope so. I have a Greek test tomorrow and I have to finish a paper for 2nd Temple Jewish Lit. It’s probably time I started writing that paper, huh? I’m not too worried. I have the research done and the outline formulated in my head. That’s the hard part. Actually writing it is pretty easy for me.
