Firefighters to the Rescue!

Before our party began, a 2 year old managed to lock himself in the bathroom. After several minutes of his mom trying to coach his unlocking skills, we decided it was time to break into the door (it was a deadbolt lock…what were they thinking?). Those of us with tools in our trunks ranand got them. After a few unsuccessfull attempts, we decided call the authorities and get someone out there who could help.

The police showed up and stopped us from using a crowbar to bust into the door.

Then the firefighters showed up with their lock-busting tools. While it was stressful because the mom and son were panicking, it was still pretty cool to see how they bust into a door.

So, with the cake-tastrophe (see below, a policeman, and the firefighters…

I’d say Aly’s birthday was memorable, to say the least.
