Celebrity
I met a guy at church today. He’s a sophomore at Milligan, and it was his first time at our church – which was odd, since school is over for them in a week. He’s going back home for the summer…in Evansville. Yes, I’ve met another fellow Hoosier from the depths of Southwestern Indiana.
Wait, it gets better…
His name is Tyler. As in, “-yler’s” half of Shyler’s Bar-B-Q & Grill – home of the best pulled pork and barbecue nachos in the world! I’ve gotta admit, Wolf’s has some pretty good ribs, though and gives them a run for their money on the rest of the barbecue. Shyler’s still beats them, though.
People down here say Firehouse and Ridgewood are the best. They’re wrong. They just haven’t had Shyler’s.
Of course, a case could be made for Sticky Fingers. It’s some pretty good eats!
I asked Tyler if he could hook me up next time I was in town. I told him I was joking, but he did say he’d do it – he does it all the time!
Now, I’ll just sit back and reflect on my brush with celebrity….
