The End of an Era
I’m sad to announce that the last of the Mickey Mouse Platys that I bought in Tennessee a few years ago has died. I think we were down to two after the move up here. The one I had nicknamed ‘Nemo’ had died shortly after the move. He was already injured and I think the transition was just too much for him. Now the only fish remaining from the move is the algae eater. At one time, there were close to ten Mickey Mouses swimming around, thanks to another inadvertent purchase of a pregnant Platy. Now they are all gone, marking the end of an era.
The Platy is survived by the aforementioned algae eater, a Tequila Sunrise Guppy, two tetras, and a snail.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Long John Silvers or Red Lobster.
