What do these football teams have in common? That’s right! Indiana has a better record than all of them! When’s the last time that has happened? Has it ever happened?
Indiana’s 3-0 and Kellem Lewis (that’s ‘Mr Big Ten Player of the Week Kellem Lewis) looks like the second-coming of one Antwaan Randle-El. Let’s just hope that the Hoosiers defense can hold up instead of imploding like they did in years past. If so, there’s a good chance that Lewis could do something that Randle-El didn’t – play in a bowl game as a Hoosier!
I know IU’s nonconference schedule wasn’t exactly made up of titans of the gridiron. But right now, who cares? The most important thing is that they have a very good chance of qualifying for a bowl bid for the first time since the Mallory days. Three more wins. Just three more wins!
Hep’s dream that they will ‘Play 13’ appears to be alive and well. Hopefully momentum will build when the Illini come to town. Illinois is favored, but we’ve heard that song and dance before. Right, Iowa? Right, Michigan State?
It’s time to restore that Hoosier ‘tradition’ that they were talking about when they hired Hep. Or maybe it’s a good time to start some new tradition.
