A Little Jittery…
Went back on the Adderall today. Started with a small dose. First pill this morning didn’t really seem to do much. I guess my thoughts were clearer, but there weren’t many side effects, other than a touch of dry mouth. Of course, I was mowing the lawn at school with a push-mower. Could have had the dry mouth because I was thirsty.
Took my second dose a few hours ago. My hands are a little shaky. This was expected. The side effect only lasts a couple of days for me. I’m glad I started off small. If I had started off with a big dose, I could very well have felt like my insides were going to shoot out of my fingertips. Not the most pleasant experience.
In all, things are going well with the drug – although it’s only the first day I’ve been back on it. Still gotta keep an eye on the blood pressure, since Adderall does increase heart rate and bp.
Hopefully this will help me be able to concentrate more when I try to study Hebrew. If not, I’m in big trouble!

Brother, I feel your pain!!
Hey Matt….It’s Christy’s cousin Jessica (Janice’s daughter). I am definitely on the ADD train (sometimes I think I’m the conductor!). I was diagnosed when we lived in DC last year, and I was like, ok, I finally know why my brain is muddled ALL the time, I can’t finish projects, I procrastinate…blah blah blah. I never did get medicated for it (of course, I procrastinated with going back to the doctor), then we ended up moving back to Indiana. So now I definitely need to find a good doc that will get me on something! The good news is that my job is perfect for me- I am busy all the time, I have variety, and there is lots of STRUCTURE!
I see you guys are doing well- the kids are gorgeous, and getting so big! We are in New Albany, so if you are ever in our neck of the woods, you are welcome to stay here. We have an extra queen size bed, if the kids don’t mind the floor of course. We started going to Graceland Baptist Church right down the street- it’s really big, but the pastor (Scott Miller) is great and we like our Sunday school class. Andy was very excited because some people were discussing fantasy football in Sunday school yesterday, so we decided to stick with that class.
Well, tell Christy hello for me, and you are in our prayers with the whole Rosemary situation. I hope she gets the help she needs, whether it’s voluntary or not.
