Be Still My Beating Heart…
Ooooh! Ooooh!
Every seminary student will shout out and say, “Yes!” when they see this trailer. Why bother reading the text of an age-old epic to understand the context of Israel’s patriarchs when you can see it on film?
Of course, this is Hollywood. They’ll probably figure out a way to make it an anti-Bush, anti-Iraqi Freedom movie. Even if they don’t follow the Bush-bashing crowd, Hollywood’s recent track record regarding ancient myths and history is not too stellar.
Is there really enough to the story to make a believable film? I’ll have to wait to see it – maybe till it’s some network’s movie of the week, or something.

Ummm… you are aware that these movies are intended for ENTERTAINMENT, not historical instruction, right?
yes.
But the real question is if it will even be entertaining.
Doubtful.
I guess it depends on your definition of entertainment. If it includes unexplained and elaborate action sequences, then yes.
