Mihret’s magical journey

Family Selfie at Universal Studios Orlando Wizarding World I’ve been trying to put last week’s experience into words. Magical isn’t enough. Wonderful doesn’t really cut it, either. It was more like a dream. I guess you could say it was a magical wonderful real-life dream. I hope you can bear with me as I filter through the 1000 photos. I’ll do my best to grab the just-right images and words to describe our experience in Florida. Until then…patience, my friends. Patience.

Towne Hall at Give Kids the World Village

Long story short

The Indiana Children’s Wish Fund granted Mihret and sent our family on an unforgettable week-long journey to Orlando. We stayed in Give Kids The World Village, a real-life fairy tale town with its own bunny mayor and a castle of hope and ice cream for breakfast. We visited Universal Studios and Disney World. In the middle of those major visits, Mihret got to meet Hope, one of the stars of Dolphin Tale 2. It was a week full of memories. Some of them might have been life-changing. I’m going to do my best to share our experience. Because the magic wasn’t limited to just Mihret. It was a dream come true for everyone in our family. Until then, you can see a few highlights from our trip on my Instagram* and Mihret’s Instagram+.

+Yup. Mihret’s on Instagram now. We thought it would be neat to share this journey through her eyes. I think she still has some photos she wants to post. I must say, she has a pretty good eye for taking pictures. She probably learned it from her sister.
