Nothing’s more exciting than a romantic getaway for Valentine’s Day. Right? I wouldn’t know, honestly. Due to work schedules, our kids’ school commitments, and finances, we’ve never really been able to plan a romantic rendezvous in some exotic location.
OK. I take that back.
We did travel a long distance one year. But it was when we lived in Upper East Tennessee and we drove up to Indy for my nephew’s birth, only to be stuck in Indy for a few more days thanks to a blizzard. That’s not really what anyone has in mind when dreaming about a romantic escape.
Well, maybe you’re like us and can’t get away to some tropical location this Valentine’s Day. How about bringing the beach to you instead? Here’s a few simple ideas you might want to try.
- Make some Buffalo Shrimp.
- Fire up Blue Hawaii on Paramount+.
- Lay out some beach towels and enjoy.
- When it’s time for dessert, enjoy a cool Hawaiian Shaved Ice treat.
