We love iCarly!

We’re big fans of iCarly around here. Aiden and Aly watched it religiously back when it aired on Nickelodeon. They were so much into the show that they begged me to use our digital camera to shoot their own version of iCarly. They called it i…Cool! We only shot an episode or two, but they had fun doing it.

Mihret’s a fan of iCarly, too. She’s been streaming the show for a while now. I think she secretly hopes that her YouTube channel will become as successful as Carly Shay’s web show was back in the day. I know that’s some out-of-this-world thinking. But that’s OK. Live out your dream, kiddo!

(By the way…have you subscribed to her YouTube channel? You really should. In case you’re not so sure about what to do, just click this link right here and you’ll be transported to the amazing, stupendous, and maybe even a little cute YouTube channel called Magical Mihret. Then you just click that little “subscribe” button and you’re all set!)

As I was saying, we’re big fans of iCarly around here. And when we heard the announcement that there was a revival afoot, there was much rejoicing. There might have even been a little random dancing.

In case you’ve somehow missed this news, here’s the first iCarly trailer that Paramount+ released not too long ago…

Looks pretty fun to us!

Here’s all the details about its upcoming release, thanks to Entertainment Weekly:

The first three episodes of iCarly will debut Thursday, June 17, on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada, and the following 10 episodes will drop weekly on the platform. The series will premiere in Latin America, the Nordics, and Australia later this summer.

Do you know what this means?

It’s time to plan an iCarly watch party!

If you’re going to binge all three episodes in one night – and why wouldn’t you? – you’re going to need a plan to maximize your iCarly festivities while you’re getting your fill of Carly, Spencer, Freddie, Millicent, Harper, and the rest of the gang.

I asked my family what they thought we’d need for a successful iCarly watch party. Here’s what we came up with. Just leave it all to me…

Menu

Spaghetti Tacos
If you have an iCarly party and don’t have spaghetti tacos, did you even iCarly at all?

Here’s the thing, though…

I’ve never made spaghetti tacos. Have you? I know there’s some recipes out there, but I haven’t ever tried them. And Aly’s asked for spaghetti tacos for years. So this sounds like the perfect time to try some. I’ll gladly post the recipe when we make it.

Until then, here’s a spaghetti tacos recipe to hold you over.

Ohhhhh yeeeaah! This is gonna be fun!

Bucket of chicken
I know. Sam isn’t going to be in the revival series. It’s well-known that Jennette McCurdy has quit acting. And there’s no way you can recast Sam. It just wouldn’t work.

But there really should be some kind of nod to Sam if you’re planning an iCarly party menu. It seems like Sam was always eating from a bucket of chicken. So why not include that on the menu?

Snack cakes
OK. They iCarly gang really likes a particular brand of snack cakes called Fat Cakes. They even tried to smuggle them in from Canada. Remember?

Fat Cakes doesn’t really exist. But why not get an assorted collection of snack cakes and make them available? You know – like a sweet charcuterie board. Or something like that.

You think I’m joking, don’t you. People really do make snack cake charcuterie boards, though.

You’re welcome.

Smoothies

Since the Groovy Smoothie is where it’s at in iCarly world, why not whip up some smoothies to enjoy while binging the revival? You could take things up a notch and serve your smoothies in a Groovy Smoothie mug.

Starbucks
I don’t think this coffee company is mentioned in the show, but…well…Seattle…Starbucks…it just makes sense.

Games

Here are a few ideas to get you moving in between episodes.

Pin the Shirt on Gibby
Print out a photo of Gibby. Or buy a flag. That’s right. I said a flag. There’s actually a flag of shirtless Gibby. I’m not sure what that says about society, but…well…it would be perfect for this game!

Just cut out some shirts and put tape on the back of them. Then you’ve got an iCarly version of Pin the Tail on the Donkey.

Because Gibby rocks.

Random Dancing Musical Chairs
You need some room for this, I guess. But you play the game just like Musical Chairs, except you have to dance while you’re moving.

Because it’s not an iCarly watch party without some random dancing. AmIRight?

What are you waiting for?

The iCarly revival is almost here! It’s time to get started preparing for the most epic watch party ever. So let’s get started. And if you have any ideas, please share them. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

In five…four…three…two
