Homeschool is in full swing at the Todd household. But now we’re taking things up another notch in art class. Since Mihret loves unicorns, it only made sense to add unicorns to the homeschool equation somehow. When I Darn Good Yarn gave me the opportunity to try out their unicorn scissors, I jumped at the chance.
These 4″ unicorn scissors are premium quality with a unique rainbow plasma coating. They have stainless steel blades with sharp points allow for delicate cutting and trimming of any craft project.
Let me repeat. These are sharp scissors. But they’re also a lot of fun.
Because unicorns make everything more fun. Even homeschool!

Not only is she having fun with these scissors, but we’re secretly adding some occupational therapy to the mix. It’s a win-win situation here. And then when we add one of the fun crafts available from Darn Good Yarn, it’s a win-win-win situation!
The homeschool adventure continues
Like I said earlier, we’re still going strong in our homeschool efforts. We’re working a lot on developing paragraphs and creating narratives – both fiction and nonfiction. And we’ll continue to go strong throughout the Summer. We have some science and geography projects lined up. And we’ll keep working on those math facts.
With the addition of our arts and crafts/secret occupational therapy sessions, this’ll be a homeschool to remember!
