It’s Game Day. And you need to eat.

Whether you’re getting ready for a big football game or a national college basketball tournament (in case you’ve forgotten, we call that tournament The Most Wonderful Time of the Year around here), you want to make sure your Game Day food knocks it out of the park. Am I right?

Nachos.

Burgers.

Wings.

Pizza.

Those are all expected for a proper celebration of sports. I’d like to suggest an addition to this list: Sausage Slammer Sliders.

Add Sausage Slammer Sliders to your Game Day menu.

I know hat you’re saying. “What are Sausage Slammer Sliders?” Well, I’m glad you asked.

A Sausage Slammer from Southside Market & Barbecue is a jalapeño stuffed with cheddar cheese. Then they wrap that stuffed jalapeno in their house-made sausage. But wait! That’s not all. Then they wrap the whole thing in bacon.

That’s right.

Bacon.

It’s kind of like a reverse stuffed jalapeño. Or something like that.

You can grill them or bake them. Once you’ve reheated them, slice ’em up.

Game Day Sausage Slammers

These Sausage Slammer medallions are the perfect size for an individual slider. We grabbed some Hawaiian rolls made some incredible Sausage Slammer Sliders. The sweetness of the bread with the smokiness of the sausage and the bacon, combined with the sharpness of the cheddar cheese, topped with that tiny hint of a kick from the jalapeño…the perfect hand-held Game Day food.

Aiden preferred to have his with a little bit of BBQ dipping sauce. I preferred mine straight-up. Either way, you can’t go wrong!

Other Game Day Sausage Slammer options

Of course, there are other ways to Southside Market & Barbecue’s Sausage Slammers in your Game Day menu. You could dice them and put them on nachos. Or you could use them as a topping on your pizza. I’m sure it would be good with mac & cheese, too!

What are you waiting for?

Order your Sausage Slammers from Southside Market & Barbecue and turn your Game Day into an All-Star affair.
