Mihret was the star at Universal Studios Orlando
Thanks to the Indiana Children’s Wish Fund and Give Kids The World, we were able to spend two days at Universal Studios Orlando. Let me tell you, Mihret received star treatment as a Wish Kid at Universal Studios. Staff quickly ushered her to the front of the line for every ride, experience, or character meet and greet that she wanted to experience.
Here’s a few of her favorite encounters at Universal Studios Orlando.
Betty Boop
Although she’d never heard of Betty Boop before our visit to Universal Studios, she’s talked about the character several times since then. She even asked if we could try to see her again later in the day. Unfortunately, we did not get to see Miss Boop again.
We’ll always remember how Betty Boop treated Mihret like she was the only girl in the entire park.
Scooby-Doo and Velma
We couldn’t let Mihret have all the fun. All of us jumped in with Scooby, Velma, and the Mystery Machine!
Animal Actors On Location!
This was one of the first major unexpected surprises we encountered during our trip. When we arrived for Animal Actors On Location, a gentleman ushered us to our seats at the front. Before he left, he asked if we would be wanted to stay after the show and meet the trainer.
Uh…
“YES!”
The trainer and his team answered all of our questions. They also took a few pictures for us. It was a great experience!
Squidward Tentacles
We discovered that despite his reputation, Squidward really is quite the softy. Mihret said he was really funny when they met. They even danced a little jig before posing for photos.
SpongeBob SquarePants
Mihret was just a little star-struck with Sponge Bob when she first met him. But she warmed up to him quickly and even asked him to take a selfie with her.
He obliged.

Thanks, Universal Studios Orlando
We had a memorable time during our epic adventure. And thank you for treating Mihret like the star we know she is.
