Happy Free Comic Book Day!
In honor of Star Wars MONTH, I journeyed over to Comics Are Cool to see if they had any special Star Wars comics available for this year’s installment of Free Comic Book Day.
I wasn’t disappointed. I found this little gem.
The cover’s a nifty little throwback to the iconic Star Wars poster. With a steampunk twist.
I’ve never really been that much of a steampunk fan. Dont’ get me wrong. It’s not that I dislike the genre. I’ve just never really gotten into it all that much. This comic book, however, however…
I’m intrigued.
In other news, I also grabbed a copy of a Hello Kitty comic. I’m sure you’ll be shocked to find out which little girl claimed that one as soon as I got home.
How about you? What free comic book awesomeness did you grab today?

Adorable!
I think we need to discuss why Star Wars gets a MONTH in 2014.
As mentioned here, there’s May 4th, then Revenge of the 6th, then anniversaries for all of the episodes’ opening nights at the end of the month (May 16, 19, 21, and 25). So why not take the whole month to celebrate? May is a pretty special month in Star Wars history.
Of course, that’s going to change next year when they release the new episode in December. I’m still not sure how I feel about that.
