In it to End It: Shine a Light on Slavery Day
For today’s installment of World Changers Wednesday (or is it Change the World Wednesday?), I want to help shine a light on the End it Movement. They are encouraging We like to think that slavery ended in the 19th century. It didn’t. An estimated 27 million men, women, and children are trapped in some type of slavery. This is 2014, people! This shouldn’t be happening! We can help stop it! We can add our voices to the chorus of freedom!
I’m not naive enough to think that simply putting an X on my hand tomorrow will put an end to this evil practice. But it’s a start. And if it can help pave the way to freedom for just one person, then it’s worth it. Don’t you think? Why don’t you join me tomorrow?
I’m in it to End It! Are you?
