Project HOPEFUL is changing the world
It behooves us to live!
Todd Family Motto
In an effort to take our family motto seriously, I believe it’s time to start highlighting some organizations who are living out this motto. They are giving life as they live their lives to the fullest. So I’m designating Wednesday s as Change the World Wednesday. Or maybe World Changing Wednesday. I don’t know if it’s actually going to have an official title or not, but you get the idea. While I can’t guarantee that I’ll be able to do it every Wednesday, I do hope to highlight people and organizations who are trying to help change the world for the better.
Project HOPEFUL exists to Help Orphans and Parents Eliminate Further Unnecessary Loss. They educate and adovcate on behalf of children living with HIV/AIDS and other severe special needs around the world. In their words, “We are committed to spreading the TRUTH in PANDEMIC proportions, because NO child should perish for…lack of knowledge.”
I highly recommend you check them out. They have some important stuff to say.
1987.
Wow. That’s just….wow.
In a post-Ryan White world where Magic Johnson’s “death sentence” didn’t turn out the way everyone thought it would, I’m rather surprised about how ignorant we are about HIV. And this is especially sad when we can find out where some superstar ate dinner last night by merely clicking a link or two.
I’m thankful for Project HOPEFUL and their efforts to spread the truth about HIV/AIDS. It sounds like they have a lot of work ahead of them.

Matt, I think it’s way cool to highlight this sort of thing. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Neal. I feel like it’s a fairly simple way to use whatever platform I have to encourage some good in the world. I hope to do more involved stuff in the future, but this is a nice starting point.
If you ever have any suggestions, feel free to pass them along!
