E is for Ethiopia
A very large part of my job involves putting together blog posts for my clients. In many cases, that includes finding photos for the posts. A few weeks ago, I was working on a post about Africa and found photos from Ethiopia….
They took my breath away.
Is it strange to say that I felt a little bit homesick while looking at these? Ethiopia is not my home. It never has been. But our family is forever connected with this land. We pray for her people continually. We are always looking for ways to support life-giving efforts half a world away.* We would love to return and bring our children with us.
But until that time, I’m pretty sure there will be several times where I find myself homesick for a home I’ve never known.
*Speaking of life-giving efforts, please take a moment and ‘Like’ A Heart for Korah’s facebook page. They need 1,000 likes by June 1. I’m pretty sure we can knock that out pretty quick.
