Two Birds, One Stone

Back in October, the Heartland Film Festival held their opening night festivities featuring The Mission, a film directed by Emilio Estevez and staring Martin Sheen. Both of them were in attendance.
And so were we.
Thanks to Christy’s quick reaction time, she won two free tickets through a radio contest on WQME. You know how I’ve mentioned before that I’ve gotten pretty good at leveraging social media and I have won some pretty cool stuff? Christy’s just as good at winning things from WQME!
Thanks to Christy’s quick reaction time, I was able to cross another item off my List of Things to Do! Number 46 – done!
The Sheen family (sans Charlie) was there as part of Opening Night. Their film, The Way, was the featured film of the evening. And they were there for a Q&A session after the show. It was pretty cool.
Very cool, actually.
But Christy wasn’t done. She knew that #52 was also on my list. So she surprised me by making reservations at Zest. Yup. She killed two birds with one stone.

In all, it was a fabulous date night that was put together at the last-minute. Not sure how I’m going to ever plan and execute a date night for Christy the way she did on that fine October night. But I’m sure gonna try.
This’ll be fun

Date nights are awesome! Especially when you can check things of “the list”!
Yes, they are awesome. Just out of curiosity – do I know you?
