Alyson has discovered a new favorite sport…
Short-track speed skating! She’s been practicing on her inline skates all through the house.
Olympics-mania has swept through the Life in the Fishbowl family. All of us have our favorites. Of course, you can see what one of Aly’s is. I think I share that sentiment. I love watching short-track. And snowboard cross. If Mihret had a favorite, she’d probably choose cross-country skiing because of this guy (and rightfully so). And every night, we’re huddled around the TV, watching the events unfold.
So…What’s your favorite Winter Olympics event?

I’m with her…I love short track skating. When Apolo is racing, I don’t even breathe. I’m way too nervous. Tonight, I may have a heart attack.
I agree about heart attacks! That’s exactly what I love about the sport.. so fast, so slippery, so risky. It’s amazing. Apolo is incredible. I can never figure out how he squeezes into such tight little spaces without knocking anyone down or losing his footing. As for Alyson’s Olympic future, is there an ice rink in Muncie?
I don’t know about an ice rink in Muncie. But that shouldn’t stop her. After all, there really isn’t snow in Ethiopia. 🙂
Well…OK…there’s one place in Ethiopia with snow (here). Something tells me skating rinks are still a little more accessible here – even if not in Muncie.
