Leavin’ on a Jet Plane
Well, not really “leavin'” on a jet plane. More like already left. And came back. Two weeks ago today, we were in the air with Ethiopia as our ultimate destination. It was a long flight – something like 20 hours in a plane. By the time we reached Sudan, I guess you could see the exhaustion on my face.
But before that video, I promise I was more excited, even though I wasn’t exactly thrilled about the idea of flying over the ocean. Or into Sudan, for that matter.

Can’t wait to read the rest! I haven’t gotten to posting about Mihret, but I’m getting there! Working on my new website has sucked me dry lately!
Aw, come on! It’s not like you have more important things to do or anything like that (like getting french fries, or supporting your friendly neighborhood marching band, or being a fabulous Mommy for your sweet, sweet Caroline). Nope – your plate is completely empty.
Let me know when you post it so I can stop artificially inflating your number of hits. 😉
Thank you for sharing about your trip. Mihret is beautiful and I hope I will get to meet her before too long. I hope you are able to keep adding the rest of the story.
HaHa! I hope I’m able to keep adding the rest of the story, too! 😉
I tried to convince Christy to drive down for Homecoming, but she wasn’t too keen on the idea of taking the three down by herself. Imagine that! We’ll get down there sometime soon.
That was truly a LONG flight. The anticipation and excitement alone would have driven me bonkers. I pictured nothing but dust too, thanks for sharing the pics and I look forward to seeing more :). I was so honored to meet Mihret what an angel!!!
