One Busy Tooth Fairy

Alyson’s upper two front-teeth have been loose for some time. When we went to the State Fair Sunday afternoon (more on that later), one of her teeth got a little…well…”encouragement” to come out. While she was driving a bumper car, she backed up into the wall at full speed. It rattled her around a little bit and definitely loosened one of her teeth. It was actually bleeding a little when she got off the ride. I think the Carnie running the ride was a little concerned. We explained that it was all good. We knew her tooth was already loose.

That evening, she couldn’t eat anything remotely hard at all because her tooth was loose enough that it was extremely awkward and uncomfortable to do so. But that didn’t stop her from trying to eat some hot, buttered, corn on the cob! Notice how she’s favoring one side of her mouth.

Aiden offered to help speed up the process by giving her a Knuckle Sandwich. She refused. I even offered to add ketchup! 🙂

When she came home today, she was excited to reveal the latest development. While on the playground, the loose tooth finally fell out. As soon as she got inside, she ran up to her room and hid her tooth inside her Tooth Pillow (and I secretly hoped the Tooth Fairy wouldn’t forget again).

But the excitement wasn’t over. Her other loose tooth was literally hanging on by a thread. We knew it wouldn’t be long before it came out.

I didn’t think it would be tonight, though.

Shortly after dinner, Aly came running into the Kitchen announcing that Bella had knocked her tooth out. That’s right. Bella.

So, the first tooth she lost was expedited by a bumper car. The second tooth came out because she was dog wrestling.

That’s our Alyson!
