Disney Vacation – Magic Kingdom

As promised, here’s some pictures from our visit to Magic Kingdom on Alyson’s birthday. I have absolutely no idea how any subsequent birthday will ever compare.

The kids had a blast. So did Mom and Dad. It’s funny to hear what everyone thought the Magic Kingdom was going to be like before we got there. I think Christy expected it to be similar to King’s Island or Six Flags where there’s all kinds of roller coasters and rides like that. She was a little taken aback (maybe even disappointed) when we walked in and it looked like Main Street. She definitley got caught up in the magic by the time the day was over.

Alyson assumed it was just a bunch of characters walking around the park, similar to what you see in the commercials. She wasn’t expecting parades and rides and everything else. Boy, was she surprised!

The day we were there happened to be one of the extended-hour days. So we didn’t even start leaving the park until 11 p.m. We rode at least three different rides in the last half an hour. It was pretty cool.

The magic of Disney is certainly alive and well!

Apparently, WordPress.com and Photobucket don’t agree with each other and I can’t embed the slideshow on this blog. So…click here to watch it!
