Remember…

In addition to my great-uncle’s experience as a POW in World War II, the words, “those who here gave their lives that that nation might live.”
I’m thankful for the men and women who gave their lives that our nation might live.
I’m thankful for the men and women who served to protect our country.
I’m thankful for the men and women who continue to serve to protect our country.
I’m thankful for the families of the men and women who serve.
In the spirit of Memorial Day, it is altogether fitting and proper to listen to these powerful words and remember…
I’m so glad I was required to memorize these words back in middle school.
