Flashback Friday
I’ve been looking for a good picture to go with today’s Flashback Friday retro-video. I really wanted one of me doing something with fire. Unfortunately, I don’t have such a picture.
I do, however, have several pictures of me at the many campfires we did at Philmont. This might have been the most memorable part of our Beaubien campfires because we’d stop, mid-sentence, and strike a pose for whatever camera we saw. We’d even take people’s cameras and take pictures of ourselves (yes, that’s where I picked up this habit). We could easily turn a half-hour campfire into an hour by hamming it up for the camera.
And we did this every night.
It was our own little twist on the traditional Philmont campfire. But we didn’t start the fire…

I’m trying to find some older pictures of me, but I think most of them are still at my parents’. I’ll try to track some more down. I promise.
Oh yeah, and if you want to read a short summary of each event to which Mr. Joel refers, this site does a pretty good job.
