Disney’s Animal Kingdom (part 7)

Continuing from Part 6.

DinoLand was…interesting. It was like the Flintstones meets the State Fair. The kids had fun.

Well, they had fun most of the time. We hesitated to ride the indoor dino ride because there was a warning that some of it might be frightening to smaller children. We talked with the Cast Members who were maintaining the line and they didn’t think it would be too scary for the kids.

Wrong.

Alyson left the ride in tears. Fortunately, the gift shop helped soothe her nerves. Note to self: a princess hat will always help cure what ails ya. Even a sudden fear of dinosaurs.

Oh yeah, that panda? It was Alyson’s souvenir she bought at Animal Kingdom. Not that she really needed another stuffed animal…but she didn’t have a panda yet. And everyone needs a panda – right?

Learning about Dino-Sue. The kids had all kinds of questions (imagine that).
