March Madness: Who Ya Got?
Seeing as how my Hoosiers are nowhere to be found in this year’s Tournament, I have no real dog in this proverbial fight. Yeah, I’ll be pulling for Big Ten teams and for Butler, as well as other “little-guy” programs, but I don’t have near the emotional investment in these teams as I do in the Hoosiers.
Because of that, it should be fun watching the games purely for the sake of enjoying the madness that is March.
My brackets have been picked. The kids have also picked their choices. I’ll share theirs later. Here’s how I have the tournament unfolding…
Upset highlights:
#12 Western Kentucky over #5Illinois
#13 Cleveland State over #4 Wake Forest.
I also have #9 Butler over #8 LSU, but the Bulldogs haven’t started off very well.
Final Four:
Louisville
Missouri
Villanova
Oklahoma
Louisville over Oklahoma in the Championship game.
This is against my better judgment. Whenever I have picked Louisville or Villanova to do well in the tournament, they have usually bowed out before the Elite Eight. I think there’s one time I picked the Cardinals and they actually went to the Final Four.
Let the Madness begin! It’s definitely The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
Who are your picks this year?

GO BOILERS!
Purdue vs. Duke in the final game with Purdue taking it ALL! Hope we can get by Washington Saturday!
Matt – you probably don’t know – since college (and since Brad is a Purdue grad and I’m from up there) I have become a HUGE Purdue football and basketball fan.
BOILER UP!
Wait – for some reason I thought you’ve always been a Boilers fan. I’ll be praying for you. 🙂
I’ve got Purdue in the Sweet 16 before losing to Connecticut. Sorry about that.
I’m quite proud of the fact that I picked the Cleveland State and Wisconsin upsets. I thought about picking Arizona over Utah, but just couldn’t see three #12 seeds upsetting the 5. In fact, I thought having two of them was kinda crazy.
