Christmas at the Zoo

***Yeah – I know. I’m about two months late on these pictures. I think you’ll get over it.***

We met Kevin, Liz, and Caedmon at the Indy Zoo on one of the last days of 2008 (Dec. 30, I think) for the Christmas at the Zoo extravaganza.

Although Christy had gone to this during her childhood, this was my first visit to Christmas at the Zoo. While it’s not the Speedway in Lights, it’s still an impressive sight. We were disappointed that the African animals area was closed but, you know, it was December and it was kinda chilly. Although I think the zookeepers should have just forced the lions and elephants and giraffes to just tough it out (it would build character, after all), it’s probably a good thing that they were kept out of the cold. Something about cruelty to animals and losing your acreditation. But really, aren’t they just here for our enjoyment? 🙂 (If you can’t figure it out, please know that I’m kidding)

Someone should have made her zip her coat. Where WERE her parents?
