10 Years
I’m too tired to write much about it tonight, but I really can’t let today go by without at least acknowledging it.
If I remember correctly, today, February 1, 2009, is the 10-year anniversary of the day I started my first paid, full-time ministry position. And I had no clue what I was doing.
Of course, you could argue that I still have no clue what I’m doing, but I’ve learned to fake it a little bit better. 🙂
Oh yeah, we also watched an amazing ending to the Super Bowl tonight. I’m happy for the Steelers, but I would have loved to have seen Kurt Warner and Edge get another ring, too. Yes, I said another. The Colts gave Edgerrin James a Super Bowl ring after winning two years ago as a thank-you for all of the years of hard work leading up to the year they won.
And on that note, I’m heading to bed.

I know I am a little behind… sorry 🙂 I just wanted to say YEAH Steelers!!! Also, I’m glad you and your family made it to our small town. Congrats on 10 years 🙂
I wish the 10 years was all in the same place, but it obviously wasn’t meant to be. Besides, we’re (still) excited to be here! Thanks on the congrats. I’m also coming up on the 10-year anniversary of my being ordained by my home church. I’ll probably reflect on it a little more on my other blog (Anakin Redeemed: Continuing the Conversation) once we hit that date.
The Steelers are kind of my fall-back team if the Colts aren’t involved. There are lots of reasons but they’re not worth going into right now. So I’m happy for them. I would have been happy for the Cards, too. They were a good story and it would have been nice to see Warner and Edge get another ring. Did you know the Colts gave James a ring after they won the Super Bowl, even though he wasn’t on the team anymore?
