O Christmas Tree
We decorated the tree and the rest of the house for Christmas last weekend. Here are a few pictures.
This was a memorable decorating experience for several reasons. It was the first time Alyson put the star on the tree. This was also the year that I broke one of the ornaments that was very special to me. Of course, it happened right after I delivered this big speech to the kids about how they needed to be careful with the ornaments. But I think the rest of the story is for another post at another time.

I love stars as the tree topper. Our tree top is bare this year 🙁 The angel we have had since my sister and I were little finally gave out. The tree turned out nice 🙂
The tree topper has always been up for discussion at our house. We’ve usually had a star on top, but I think one year we used a snowman that Aiden had made at church.
We’ve had several stars over the years. We never fully agreed on most of them. This year’s star is new. I think we both agree it’s a ‘keeper.’
If you’re still looking for a topper, I saw several different types of stars today at Family Dollar on Madison. They were only five bucks!
