Thinking out loud: Decision 2008

  • Christy arrived at our polling place 15 minutes after it opened this morning. She waited in line for almost an hour!
  • I just cast my vote about a half an hour ago. I was in and out in 15 minutes, and that includes having to go back to my car to get my ID.
  • I was sorely disappointed to learn that Lando Calrissian was not on the ballot in Indiana. Talk about voter disenfranchisement. 🙂
  • Why don’t they give us purple fingers when we vote like they did for the Iraqi voters? Since there’s so much talk about red state vs. blue state, purple would be the perfect color! We are, after all, one nation.
  • I’m sad to say that I voted against certain candidates instead of for their opponents. In fact, I held my nose as I pushed some of the buttons.
  • I’m not sure if I’ll stay up for the results tonight. According to the historical trend, the Redskins vs. Steelers game already told us who will win tonight.
  • In only a few hours, we can lift up our voices and celebrate End of Political Ads Day! There will be much rejoicing.
