Disappointed in Star Wars
So, after hearing all the news about how the world was going to get sucked into oblivion last night, I had this nagging desire to watch The Black Hole. I figured somebody with some kind of sense of humor would show it last night on the night to end all nights. Unfortunately, there was no such luck. It was just a shot in the dark, anyway.
So, I settled on Spike TV’s airing of The Empire Strikes Back. It was the “new & improved” version of the “Special Edition” (see my previous rant about the Special Edition tucked away in this post). I was shocked and dismayed at what I heard on Cloud City…
They changed Boba Fett’s voice!
Now, instead of the eery voice that adds mystery to the man behind the mask, his voice is now the emotionless tone spoken by all of the Clones and by Jengo Fett. I understand the continuity issue, but I just wish that Sir George would just stop already! It gets worse every time he decides to change something. You know – “If it ain’t broke…” And it definitely wasn’t broke.
Add into the mix that I was already ticked about gas prices and that I couldn’t find The Black Hole on TV anywhere, I was not a happy camper last night. I probably should have just gone to bed earlier.

OK – so what I meant to say was Black Hole. The Dark Hole is probably a movie that is illegal in 12 countries, 28 states, and Lincoln County, New Mexico.
