That’s My Girl!

Aiden is away at camp tonight (more on that some other time…maybe tomorrow?). So Alyson has us and the house to herself. She doesn’t have to battle with him about what to watch on TV tonight, or what toys to play with, or how long she can be whatever four-legged creature she chooses to be without her older brother convincing her to be something else.

She’s had a ‘girly’ streak show up in her the last few weeks. She’s played a lot of ‘house’ and ‘cooked’ food for us in her play kitchen. Over the last few days, she’s played with her Baby Alive more than she did all of last year.

So, tonight I was flipping through the channels and asked Alyson if she wanted to watch a movie. I was expecting The Little Mermaid, one of the Barbie DVDs…or something like that. She said she wanted to watch Star Wars.

Yep. That’s my girl!
