What do you think?
I overheard this statement in a conversation today:
“A good leader inspires you to believe in the leader. A great leader inspires you to believe in yourself.”
It made me think. Is that really the mark of a great leader? What do you think?
No – this isn’t a rhetorical question.

This isn’t exactly about the quote, but….
My campus minister always said,” There are no bad leaders, only bad followers.”
And I try to live up to that. And sometimes I fail… and sometimes I don’t… but it holds me accountable in leadship, and that’s important.
Interesting thought.
Does that apply to government leadership, too? I’d imagine that some of the problems we face have been brought upon ourselves by practicing poor followership. I don’t know if that’s really a word, but you know what I mean.
UGH! I messed up the quote
“There are no bad followers, only bad leaders.”
Try my whole statement again with this in mind…
That does make a little more sense.
I understand how that changes the responsibility we have as leaders. What does that say about our responsibility as followers? Just curious.
