Thinking Out Loud

  • Pandora Radio is my new best friend on the information superhighway.
  • Two school carnivals two nights in a row. I’m glad schools only do these once a year.
  • The kids won goldfish at the Cowan carnival last night. So, for the third week in a row, our pet population has increased (fish & a snail two weeks ago, guinea pig last week, two more fish this week). See? It really is a zoo around here.
  • Mom and Dad were up this weekend. Had a good time.
  • Alyson discovered a bird’s nest with some big blue eggs in them – right at her eye level. I hope she didn’t scare the momma away.
  • My aquarium has an algae problem. Could it have to do with the well water we have? Most of the treatments I’ve looked into say you can’t use them if you have invertebrates in your aquarium. Snails fall under that category – right?
  • I’m almost excited for the next Indiana Jones movie. I hope it doesn’t stink up the place.
  • Christy’s done with her last major hurdle for her teaching program. It’s essentially downhill from here. I’m quite proud of her!
  • Aiden has a loose front tooth. He can use his tongue to push said tooth out nearly 90 degrees. Everyone keeps offering to pop him in the mouth to knock it loose. He’s not taking anyone up on that offer, though. He did ask me to tie it to a doorknob last night and shut the door. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find any string.
  • Did I ever mention we got a station wagon? I can’t remember. Yeah – we got it a month ago (or so).
  • I have received some nice compliments recently from people in the church. I’m trying my darndest to make sure they don’t go to my head. They haven’t so far!
  • Two Hoosiers were drafted in the second round of the NFL Draft. Although I’m not quite ready to become a Saints or Bills fan, I certainly hope they do well in the big leagues.
  • The more I hear about Tom Crean, the bigger fan of his I become. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Great hire for the program!
