They’re right – you don’t forget
For my birthday, Christy and the kids bought me a bicycle. I’ve been talking about buying a bike for at least a year, but I never did for one reason or another. Yesterday, I took my new ride out for a spin.
It had been at least 10 years since I’d actually ridden a bicycle on the street. I didn’t really realize this until I got on this bike for the first time and noticed I was using some muscles I hadn’t really used in a long time. You shift gears on the bike in a way different than I had ever done before, but that was really the only major adjustment I had to make. And other than being a little sore, it really was like…well…riding a bike.
