Me, Myself, and Bob
I finished reading Me, Myself, and Bob yesterday afternoon. A mere 24 hours after I started reading it. It might be the quickest I’ve ever read a book that didn’t have anything to do with school.
It was life-changing.
Seriously.
Life. Changing.
His lessons learned and the conclusions he drew from his experience are bouncing around in my mind. Something tells me this book is going to have an impact on my sermon this week. It deals with issues that go to the heart of the Chase the Lion series that wraps up next week. The timing was quite convenient.
Perhaps too convenient.
I think God was trying to tell me something. I’m sure I’ll continue to wrestle with this over the next few days…or weeks…or decades.
So, as the wrestling match continues in my heart, mind, and soul, I’d like to share one of the many memorable quotes from the book:
When I was about twelve years old, I took my grandfather to the first movie he had seen since his “rebellious” college years: the ‘Jesus’ film. He fell asleep halfway through, though, because he’d already read the book and he knew how it ended.
