Hawkeye Cauci (is that plural for Caucus?)
How is it that the way they choose the Democratic Party’s candidate in the Iowa caucus isn’t voter intimidation?
I guess I don’t have a problem with it if Iowans don’t have a problem with it. It just seems odd. Sounds reminiscent of the 19th century where your boss could fire you for voting the wrong way because there wasn’t a secret ballot. I guess that doesn’t happen anymore. Does it?
I don’t know why I’m even paying attention to the caucuses (‘cauci?’ What’s the plural?). It’s not like I’m going to have a voice in who I think should be a nominee for President, anyway. That’s what happens when your state has a primary so late in the game. By the time we vote here in the Hoosier State, the nominations will have already been signed, sealed, and delivered.
And they wonder why people don’t vote. I’ll be more people would if you added ‘None of the Above‘ to the ballot. That’s certainly how I feel about the candidates in both parties.
I’d like to see someone try caucusing for None of the Above in Iowa. I’ll bet that person would get shouted down.
The Iowa caucus – what a strange beast.
Have you chosen a candidate yet? If so, who? Maybe this post could be like the Iowa caucus and y’all could try to convince me to caucus with your candidate. Don’t go negative, though. Those comments would probably be removed and you’ll probably push me closer to None of the Above.
