Snow Measurement II
We’ve had a lull in the snow for the past few hours. At last measurement, our front yard was at 3 1/2 inches. They’re saying the snow is supposed to pick back up with a vengeance after midnight tonight. Here’s the projected totals from tonight’s upcoming snowstorm. The earlier snow is now crunchy, since it’s well below freezing. And we’re apparently supposed to get a little more ice before it turns to snow. Sounds like a great mix for some really safe driving conditions tomorrow, huh?
I’ve actually heard them say there’s potential for thunder and lightning with this storm. To my knowledge, I’ve only seen one major snow-thunderstorm – and that was at least 10 years ago. I’m sure there have been more, I just don’t remember them.
So, 5-8 inches on top of the 3 1/2 we already have. I wonder what the odds are we’ll have church tomorrow. If the prognosticators are correct, I’d say it’s a pretty slim chance.
