Snow Measurement
Some folks are saying that we could get up to 17 inches of snow before this snowstorm is over tomorrow. Most are saying closer to 10 inches – it all depends on how far north the freezing rain is. They’re also predicting blizzard-like conditions overnight with 40+ mph winds. Yippee!
I took a measurement in our front yard about an hour ago. We were at approximately 2 1/2 inches then. And the snow has picked back up over the last hour.
Of course, this is the weekend that our cable has gone out. Well – that’s not entirely accurate. We can get a whole 15 channels – five of which are community access. We also get the all-important Current, History-International, DIY, and Sprout networks. At least we get a couple of weather channels.
We haven’t had our full cable package since Tuesday evening and they can’t get anyone here until sometime Monday. Needless to say, I’m not happy about this. This is just another reason that I am seriously contemplating a change to satellite. Thanks a lot, Comcast!
I anticipate a lot of movies and house cleaning as we try to battle cabin fever with the kids over the next few days.
At least we still get ESPN News. That way we’ll be able to keep up with the football games tomorrow.

We lose our satellite every time it snows (at the hotel).
I’m not surprised.
It would be nice if I had a choice of cable companies. I guess that’s why I keep saying I want to switch to satellite. I’d rather just switch cable companies.
Unfortunately, that can’t happen because Comcast has a stranglehold on the area. Stupid Comcast!
