Let it snow…
They’re talking snow. It’s supposed to start within the next few hours. We could get anywhere from 2-5 inches.
Back in Tennessee, the place would be in a tizzy. I think by now they’d already be announcing school closings for the next day. I’ve gotten so used to the hysteria that’s created when a weatherman says the word ‘snow’ or ‘ice’ in Upper East Tennessee that it seems almost surreal here because there doesn’t seem to be such widespread panic. We’re under a snow advisory, but I haven’t seen any closings announced on TV yet.
It just seems…surreal.
Not that I’m complaining. I was actually amused sometimes at how quick they were to close things Yeah, I know – mountains get more snow/ice and are more difficult to travel. Central Indiana is…flat.
I am looking forward to playing in the snow with the kids. I’m just curious if I’ll have all day to do it tomorrow or not. I’m guessing they’ll be in school. But that’s just a guess.

snow..
You might have forgotten that the weather people around here like to get everyone all excited about snow and then… well… nothing. I predict nothing. No snow.. or maybe just a dusting,..
🙂
Re: snow..
We got a bit more than a dusting…maybe three inches? With the temps supposed to drop, we’re going to cancel everything tonight, I think.
Although many of the roads aren’t cleared off, there definitely isn’t the standstill we would have had in JC with this amount of snow, that’s for sure!
How much snow did you guys get? Is Caed gonna go out and play in it?? 🙂
Re: snow..
Well.. yes.. we got a bit more than a dusting too.. 2 or 3 inches. It’s really nice. Of course, I was totally surprised, so that was even better! We didn’t take Caedmon out today–no mittens yet, and he was cranky, cranky, cranky. 🙂 We will have plenty of snowy fun, I am sure, though. It might be better to get him walking first, anyway.. that way, he won’t have to sit or crawl in it! Did you get a snowman done? Did the kids sleep in for the 2 hour delay, or were they up early to celebrate?

At noon today, there was a 70 percent chance of snow for down here tonight, but it’s already changed to a 20 percent chance of rain. Yuck! I could use a snow day!
We NEVER get snow, so enjoy it!
Yeah, they sure talk a good talk down there and then it’s so freakin’ anticlimactic. Doug tried to explain to me once why the forecasts are always so wrong in JC, but my eyes kinda glazed over after he started describing the Doldrums.
I think we’re gonna make a snowman – if we can stand the wind for that long. Wind chill is in the teens. YUCK!
