This Halloween is rated…Arrrrrr!

I heard on the radio today that pirate is one of the top 10 child costumes this year. I’m sure it had absolutely nothing to do with Pirates of the Caribbean and everything to do with the upcoming Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything movie (at least that’s what the promoters would like to think). Aiden has wanted nothing to do with pirates until a few weeks ago when he was costume shopping with Christy. Out of the blue he said, “I want to be a pirate.” Christy jumped on that because she’s been trying to get him interested in pirates for several years to no avail. I guess her persistence paid off (or something like that).

And now, for your viewing pleasure, Halloween 2007 (yes, it’s rated ‘Arrr!’ And yes, I think I’m funny)…

As I’m sure I mentioned before, we had a Trunk or Treat at our church tonight. It went really well. I have a lot to share about it, but I’ll do so on

, but I’m so exhausted that I probably won’t post on it until tomorrow. Let’s just say that it was a HUGE WIN for our church! It’s something we’ll definitely be doing in the future. In addition to all of the cool connections that we made in the community, Caed was able to come up, too. Oh – and their parents came with them. 😉

I had bought this really cool Peanuts shirt to wear tonight.  It was Snoopy lying down on a big ol’ Jack-O-Lantern.  When I tried it on tonight, it was clear that I was not going to be able to wear it because although the tag said it was my size, it clearly wasn’t!  I asked Christy if she wanted to wear a Halloween shirt and she wore it instead.  It was too big for her, but it definitely looked better on her than it did on me.  Of course, that goes without saying.  Everything looks better on her than it does on me!
