This Halloween is rated…Arrrrrr!
I heard on the radio today that pirate is one of the top 10 child costumes this year. I’m sure it had absolutely nothing to do with Pirates of the Caribbean and everything to do with the upcoming Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything movie (at least that’s what the promoters would like to think). Aiden has wanted nothing to do with pirates until a few weeks ago when he was costume shopping with Christy. Out of the blue he said, “I want to be a pirate.” Christy jumped on that because she’s been trying to get him interested in pirates for several years to no avail. I guess her persistence paid off (or something like that).
And now, for your viewing pleasure, Halloween 2007 (yes, it’s rated ‘Arrr!’ And yes, I think I’m funny)…
, but I’m so exhausted that I probably won’t post on it until tomorrow. Let’s just say that it was a HUGE WIN for our church! It’s something we’ll definitely be doing in the future. In addition to all of the cool connections that we made in the community, Caed was able to come up, too. Oh – and their parents came with them. 😉

New experiences..
I thought the Trunk or Treat was wonderful. People from all over the neighborhood were stopping by. What a great outreach!
I never thought about this before, but apparently Halloween is a little late at night for babies. Maybe there should be a special Halloween celebration at 6am for the early-rise, early-to-bed types.
