Not Good.
This news is not good. Not good at all.
You’d think he’d realize he and his staff were under a microscope last year. Guess not. It’s a pretty boneheaded move when you’re under probation. And there was so much hope for this year. It seemed like all had been forgiven. Maybe he’s just taken us for a fool.
If it takes the IU basketball program falling into the same category (aka ‘cheaters’) as the likes of Kentucky and Michigan in order to be known as a ‘top-notch’ program, then…I’d rather the Hoosiers be known a ‘second-tier’ school. Of course, the Hoosier Nation set ourselves up for this. After Davis was fired, it was essentially communicated that the fan base expects a ‘win at all costs’ attitude. Ask and you shall receive, I guess.
It’s too bad, too. I really like Sampson.
That’s all I have to say right now. I’m sure I’ll have more to say later.
