Adjustments
One of the biggest adjustments I’ve had to make in Central Indiana (aside from the fact that they don’t say y’all or have sweet tea here) is distances. I keep hearing local news that includes stuff in Chicago and I think, “Chicago? Isn’t that, like, 10 hours away?”
Uh, no. Not really.
So, today I’m getting ready to drive to a conference in Michigan and I keep thinking, “Ugh. I don’t want to spend all day in the car. Why couldn’t I go to a closer conference?” Well – three hours is hardly all day. I keep forgetting that Michigan is pretty close to me now.
Maybe I need a GPS installed my brain or something.

Yes! I need a GPS in my brain too (and I can’t claim to be adjusting to a new area..)!
I guess I have the closest thing–I married Kevin.
