Butterflies!
Now that I’m back online at home, I can post some of our recent pictures. I’m sure you remember that we went to the Nature Center in Asheville a few weekends ago for one last excursion into the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Western Carolina Nature Center had an aviary-like exhibit full of butterflies and moths.
When you enter, they spray your hands with a sugar-water mixture and send you on your merry way to test your skill at convincing butterflies to crawl onto your hands. Aly, being the bug freak that she is, was in heaven. She had actually caught a butterfly the day before at home. That thing stayed on her hand for a good half an hour! She even brought it inside. Guess she has a gift or something. Aiden had a great time, too. All of us caught butterflies, which made it even more fun. We visited that exhibit at least three times over the course of the day!
