The Egg Story

A few months ago,

asked if I remembered when Aly laid an egg. It was in response to another memorable Alyson post. I knew I had posted it on here, but I couldn’t find it for the life of me. Well, I stumbled upon it last night when I was looking for something else.

The post in which it was hidden is rather long. So, here’s the important stuff.  Remember she wasn’t even three years old yet…

Speaking of Alyson, Christy emailed this to me several weeks ago while I was working all day in the library at school. I couldn’t help but laugh out loud! What are we going to do with her?

Here’s the message:
By the way, Alyson kept saying she had something in her diaper. I kept asking her if she was poopy? “No, No” she kept saying. Finally, I layed her down to change her. When I opened her diaper, she said-“Oh, look, I laid an egg!!!” It was her plastic egg from her kitchen, and she knew it all along. She got a big kick out of her little joke on me! (end of message)

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – that’s our Aly!  What are we going to do with her?

  1. This may have been the story that made me deeply appreciate Alyson’s genius.. WOW. I am still in awe of a baby that can plan and execute a joke and keep it going like that. She is amazing.
