Thunder
Someday, I’d like to be back in Evansville during the Freedom Festival so I can go to Thunder on the Ohio again. I think the kids would have fun – even if it’s not exactly what it used to be.
I was talking to Steve at work today about hydroplane racing. He actually knew what I was talking about, since he grew up in the Seattle area and went to hydroplane races all the time. We talked about Bill Muncey and the Atlas Van Lines boat and how it’s not as much fun now that the majority of boats are turbines instead of pistons. It’s such an unknown sport that I’m always surprised to find someone outside of Evansville who knows anything about it.
