Groundhog Day
There are only two things people talk about on Groundhog Day: the weather (for about five minutes), and then that movie with Bill Murray (for the rest of the day). I don’t really pay much attention to all the talk because (1) it’s a silly tradition, and (2) I really didn’t like the movie all that much. It was just…annoying.
Last night, however, I was going to bed and heard a talk radio host ask, “If you had to relive the same day over and over like in Groundhog Day, and could choose which day it would be, what day would you pick to continue reliving?”
It made me think about which day I would pick. I think I’ve decided. But I want to hear what day you, O Visitor of MattDanTodd Land, would pick as your day to relive every day.
I’ll post my answer later. For now, I’m curious to see who responds and what you say…

The first thought in my head was ” an ordinary day” because this question reminds me a lot of “Our Town,” where Emily can chose to go back and live one day? I read that play several times and loved the bittersweet ending, but never got a chance to see it on stage. I guess high schools don’t do it anymore.
🙂
I’ll think about that day, though.
AAANNNYYY day?
my 30th birthday. i had everyone i cared around me (except for those i didn’t know yet), i had cake, good music, good surprises, lots of love, my mom, people had a good time, i liked who i was… yea. that was a good day. …it probably wasn’t the “best” day in my life, but that’d be a great day to have to relive repeatedly.
but luckily, i’ve had lots of days i wouldn’t mind reliving over and over again.
sadly, i have quite a few i’m THANKFUL i DON’T have to live over and over again.
-fun topic, sir! thanks for that!
1. I love that movie.
2. Just about any day I get to be with David. Any day from my trip home would do. I guess that tells me something.
Groundhog Day
June 8, 2005. Without a doubt.
What day would you relive?
